Odell Beckham Jr. And Miami Dolphins Agree To Part Ways

Miami, FL - The Miami Dolphins and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. have mutually agreed to part ways, granting the veteran receiver his release from the team.

NFL.com reports that Beckham, who signed a one-year contract with Miami in May 2024, is now seeking opportunities with other NFL teams.

Beckham's tenure with the Dolphins was marred by limited production.

After starting the season on the physically unable to perform list due to offseason surgery, Beckham was activated on October 5th.

Over nine games, the wide receiver recorded nine receptions for 55 yards and no touchdowns.

Beckham's role in Miami's offense was constrained, especially with the emergence of tight end Jonnu Smith and the increased utilization of rookie wide receiver Malik Washington.

The 32-year-old receiver's recent seasons have been hindered by injuries and inconsistent performance.

Since 2020, Beckham has appeared in 37 games, amassing 88 receptions for 1,157 yards and eight touchdowns.

He missed the entire 2022 season due to a knee injury sustained during Super Bowl LVI while playing for the Los Angeles Rams.

As Beckham enters free agency, potential suitors may include his former teams, the Rams and the Baltimore Ravens, both of which are contending for playoff positions and could benefit from his veteran experience.

Currently holding a 6-7 record, the Dolphins stand two games behind the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Chargers, and Denver Broncos, all at 8-5 and occupying the AFC wild-card spots.

The Dolphins' remaining schedule includes games against the Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, and Cleveland Browns.
