Miami, FL – Cities across South Florida are distributing sandbags to help residents prepare for potential flooding as Hurricane Milton approaches the state.
According to CBS Miami, the following locations will be distributing sandbags across Miami-Dade and Broward counties:
Fort Lauderdale
- Floyd Hull Stadium: 2800 SW 8th Ave.
- Mills Pond Park: 2201 NW 9th Ave.
- Shirley Small Park: 1230 SW 34th Ave.
- Monday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
North Miami
- North Miami Motor Poul: 1855 NE 142nd St.
- Monday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Limit of six bags per household
South Miami
- Public Works Yard: 4795 SW 75th Ave.
- Monday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Pembroke Pines
- 8300 W. Cypress Dr.
- Monday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Limit of five bags per household
Opa-Locka
- Public Works and Utilities Department: 12950 NW 42nd Ave.
- Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. (while supplies last)
Miami-Dade County
- Multiple locations starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, open until supplies last.
- Residents can receive up to four bags per household.
