Rock Report: Unearthed Chris Cornell, Missing Gibson Docs, Alice Cooper

Gibson Guitar is offering a $59,000 reward for the return of shipping ledgers from 1959-1960. It disappeared from their archives 30 years ago when the company moved to Nashville. The guitar company is also in search of pre-1970 docs, blueprints and historical assets. If you’ve got any of it, they encourage you to contact the company via email.

Alice Cooper is working again with songwriter and producer Desmond Child. "SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!,” Desmond says. “Alice Cooper and I are cooking up a ginormous, poisonous anthemic masterpiece for next year. It’s so exciting to work with the rock genius & visionary again”.

Chris Cornell's estate released a rare treat from the late singer yesterday, debuted on Z105, on what would have been his 56th birthday – it’s a studio recording of his take on Guns N' Roses' Patience. The cover was taken from recordings of a planned solo covers album that Cornell was working on at the time of his death.Want to hear the song?
