The beer inside had an alcohol content of three-percent, which is a little weaker than the average beer today at 4.5%.The big discovery was the level of lead in the beer. It was 13 times higher than what the W-H-O recommends. Archaeologists say the lead likely ended up in the beer from water that traveled through lead pipes.
