INTERVIEW: Thunder by the Bay Lineup Announced

The 22nd Annual Thunder By The Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival, scheduled to take place February 14-16 at the Sarasota Fairgrounds, has announced WARRANT as their featured headliner on Saturday, February 15. Over the course of their career, WARRANT has sold over 10 Million albums worldwide, with the song “Cherry Pie”, taking on a pop culture life of its own, being featured in countless movies, television shows, and commercials.

Eleven other bands will also perform during the Festival featuring incredible Tribute Shows playing the music of Heart (Love Alive), Creedence Clearwater Revival (Green River), Rolling Stones (U.S. Stones), Def Leppard (Ultimate Def Leppard), Bad Company (Bad Inc.), 38 Special (37 Special), Foreigner (4NR2), Santana, (Supernatural), and Led Zeppelin (In The Light of Led Zeppelin). Local bands, Rebel Heart and Nobody’s Fool, will also perform on stage.

“There is always a tented seating area at the Festival, however, we also encourage attendees to bring their lawn chairs so they can sit closer to the stage and enjoy a full day of music and fun,” said Festival Director Lucy Nicandri. The Festival will continue to feature over 100 vendor displays, freestyle acts, bike shows, craft beer garden, food court and so much more! Daily gate admission is $5.00 Three-day Festival passes will be also available for $12 at Rossiter’s HarleyDavidson beginning October 1. Limited VIP tickets will also be available on the Festival’s website (thunderbythebay.org) beginning October 15.

Other Festival events include a Sporting Clay Tournament at Knight’s Trail Park (January 31) and a “Born To Be Wild” Festival Kickoff Party at the White Buffalo Saloon with Stone Buckle (February 7) performing modern country music. Suncoast Charities for Children Board Member and local attorney, Greg Linehan, and the President of Rossiter’s Harley-Davidson, Rick Rossiter, will continue to serve as Honorary Co-Chairs for the Festival. Last year’s Festival raised $180,000 for Suncoast Charities for Children and generated an economic impact of $7.1 Million. Over the past 21 years, Thunder By The Bay has raised $1.9 Million for charity.
