Tampa Police Make Arrest in Double Murder

TAMPA -- Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the double murder of a couple on Halloween.

They picked up Tyrail Kendrick (pictured) at a home on the 400 block of Gould Court, where he came down from an upstairs bedroom and surrendered peacefully Friday.

According to the arrest report, a witness saw the two victims run into a home in the 1700 block of Walnut Street the morning of October 31, and saw Kendrick shoot each of them several times. One of the victims shouted that they were being robbed. Those reports also identified a possible second subject, a 17 year old. So far, Kendrick is the only person facing charges... two counts of first degree murder with a firearm, one count of robbery, and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

News Channel 8 has identified the victims as Stanley Peck and Tia Pittman, parents of two children, including a daughter who was born just days before they died.

The arrest warrant says Kendrick has several prior felony convictions, the latest being in 2016 for Burglary.
