Migrant Caravaners Press On

The migrant caravan is about halfway between Central America and Tijuana, as thousands hope they can somehow gain asylum inside the United States.  Some of the thousands of Central Americans are trying to escape drug cartels and political violence while others just need work.   The waves of migrants began as one group of around 1,000 people back in October and has since grown to more than 10,000 people as it moves through Mexico.   Some of the caravaners are taking Mexico up on that country's offer of asylum while others are pressing on, hoping that they can make it to the U.S. where wages are higher.
