- The Prince estate has released the original version of his hit "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man." The track was a top-ten hit in 1987, from the Prince album "Sign O' the Times." The original, New Wave version was recorded in 1979, and is being released ahead of the upcoming reissue of "Sign O' the Times." The iconic double album is being remastered and reissued with 63 previously unreleased tracks, a live concert from 1987, and a bonus concert film. The Sign O' the Times reissue comes out September 25th.
- The Killers have finally settled on a release date for their next album "Imploding the Mirage." The band announced yesterday that LP would be released on August 21st. It was supposed to come out in May, but the band announced in April that the release had to be pushed back. They released a music video for their song "My Own Soul's Warning" yesterday as well.
- Could Ozzy Osbourne say farewell to the road with just one more show? Sharon Osbourne brought that up as a possibility in an appearance on Steve-O's Wild Ride podcast. She said, "Ozzy says that as far as performing goes, he had to end it his way. It was his farewell tour that he was on [when his health issues started], but he still had a year to do of that tour and there were seats sold for the next year, but the accident stopped it all. But he said it's not going to end just like that -- it's going to end his way. He's going to go back out and even if it's just one huge show to say goodbye, he's going to do it."
