- Restaurants are going to struggle as mandated restrictions on businesses take effect during the coronavirus epidemic. One Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles is trying to stay ahead of the curve with the 150-dollar emergency taco kit, complete with four rolls of toilet paper. Guerrilla Tacos is also including five pounds of chicken, five pounds of carne asada and quarts of salsa, tortillas, onion, cilantro, rice and beans. The store has already sold more than 70 kits and it's helping to cover employee salaries and health insurance.
- Only a few days remain to enjoy one of America's most popular beaches. The city of Clearwater declared a State of Emergency yesterday, and officials ordered Clearwater Beach closed for at least two weeks, effective Monday. The city of Tampa also announced its beaches will be closed indefinitely. Governor Ron DeSantis said this week he'll leave it up to local governments to decide whether to close beaches or not.
- The latest edition of Playboy magazine is the last, because of the coronavirus pandemic. Playboy CEO Ben Kohn said Wednesday the pandemic is disrupting content production and the supply chain to the point the print version can't survive. The magazine has been struggling for years as online porn has become almost a force of nature. Playboy went from monthly to quarterly publication early last year and the Spring 2020 edition will be the last print edition before Playboy goes all digital next year.
